What to specify
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
Jobs we can carry out
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Traffic route rules that apply in Wishaw
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in Scotland the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Planning the work around your site
Most installations in Wishaw can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
How often should strip curtains in Wishaw be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Lanarkshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Lanarkshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Wishaw?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
