Industrial door work in Wishaw
Besides Wishaw, we can survey and quote for sites in Motherwell, Hamilton, Bellshill and the rest of Lanarkshire.
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.
Who is responsible for loading bay equipment at a site in Wishaw?
The employer or occupier is. PUWER 1998 requires work equipment to be maintained and inspected, and the Workplace Regulations 1992 cover vehicle and pedestrian routes around the dock. In practice that means planned servicing of levellers and doors, daily pre-use checks and a clear procedure to stop trailers moving during loading.
Fire safety duties for shutters in Wishaw
In Scotland, fire shutters are part of the fire precautions the dutyholder must keep maintained under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006: in efficient working order and in good repair. Testing at suitable intervals and keeping the results is expected good practice and supports your fire risk assessment. Enforcement in Wishaw is by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Questions from businesses in Wishaw
Do you cover Wishaw?
Yes. We survey, install, repair and service industrial doors and loading bay equipment for businesses in Wishaw and the rest of Lanarkshire. Tell us the site postcode and what you need and we will arrange a visit.
What paperwork do we get after an installation in Wishaw?
User instructions, the manufacturer's Declaration of Performance and, for powered doors, the conformity documents and commissioning records. Keep them with your health and safety file.
How quickly can you quote for a site in Wishaw?
We aim to book a survey at a time that suits your site and send a written fixed price after it. Simple like-for-like jobs can sometimes be priced from clear photos and measurements first.
Do you repair doors you didn't install at Wishaw sites?
Yes. We repair and service most makes of industrial door and dock leveller, subject to parts availability, and record each door's details on the first visit.
