What we fit in East Kilbride
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Typical scopes of work
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Traffic route rules that apply in East Kilbride
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in Scotland the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
How the work is organised

Questions from businesses in East Kilbride
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Lanarkshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Lanarkshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How often should strip curtains in East Kilbride be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in East Kilbride?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in East Kilbride in writing after a free survey.
