Options for PVC strip curtains in Newton Mearns
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
Jobs we can carry out
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland
The business running the site in Newton Mearns must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.
