What we fit in Golborne
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Typical scopes of work
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Golborne must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

PVC strip curtains in Golborne: your questions
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Golborne?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Greater Manchester?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Greater Manchester to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Golborne site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
