PVC strip curtains in Elgin

Quick answer

Strip curtains are the simplest way to part-close a busy opening in Elgin (IV30). Hook-on strips make wear easy to deal with, ribbed strips cope with forklifts, and polar grades keep working in freezers.

Postcode district: IV30

What we fit in Elgin

Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.

Examples of work we can quote for

Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.

Traffic route rules that apply in Elgin

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in Scotland the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

PVC strip curtains in Elgin: your questions

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around the Highlands and Islands?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across the Highlands and Islands to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.

How much is a PVC strip curtain in Elgin?

Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Elgin in writing after a free survey.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Elgin premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
