In short
From a single pedestrian doorway to a wide loading bay in Wick, we can fit strip curtains matched to the traffic, temperature and visibility needs of each opening, using rails suited to the wall above.

What to specify
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Traffic route rules that apply in Wick
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in Scotland the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Planning the work around your site
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

PVC strip curtains in Wick: your questions
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around the Highlands and Islands?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across the Highlands and Islands to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Wick?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Wick?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Wick in writing after a free survey.
