Options for PVC strip curtains in Maidstone
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
What this work can involve
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Traffic route rules that apply in Maidstone
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Maidstone?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Maidstone?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Maidstone in writing after a free survey.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Maidstone site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
