What we fit in Prescot
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Jobs we can carry out
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Traffic route rules that apply in Prescot
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Questions from businesses in Prescot
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Merseyside?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Merseyside to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Prescot premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Prescot?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Prescot in writing after a free survey.
