Options that matter on site
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
What this work can involve
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Halewood must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.
