Options that matter on site
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Jobs we can carry out
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Retford must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
How the work is organised
For busy sites in Nottinghamshire the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Questions from businesses in Retford
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Retford?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Nottinghamshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Nottinghamshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Retford site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
