PVC strip curtains in Lincolnshire

At a glance

Fitting a strip curtain at premises in Lincolnshire usually takes an hour or two per doorway. You get a free survey, a written fixed price, and strips cut to the exact drop for each opening.

Area: Lincolnshire
Nation: England
Main town: Lincoln
Survey: Free for new installations

What to specify

Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.

Examples of work we can quote for

Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.

Traffic route rules that apply in Lincolnshire

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Access, phasing and timing

For busy sites in the East Midlands the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Questions from businesses in Lincolnshire

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Lincolnshire site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Lincolnshire premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around the East Midlands?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across the East Midlands to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
