PVC strip curtains in Cleethorpes

In short

Strip curtains are the simplest way to part-close a busy opening in Cleethorpes (DN35). Hook-on strips make wear easy to deal with, ribbed strips cope with forklifts, and polar grades keep working in freezers.

Town: Cleethorpes
Postcode district: DN35
Area: Lincolnshire
Survey: Free for new installations

What to specify

Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.

What this work can involve

Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.

Traffic route rules that apply in Cleethorpes

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Keeping your site running during the work

Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

PVC strip curtains in Cleethorpes: your questions

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Cleethorpes site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Cleethorpes?

Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Lincolnshire?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Lincolnshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
