What to specify
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
What this work can involve
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Leicestershire must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Leicestershire can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Frequently asked questions
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Leicestershire?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Leicestershire premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How often should strip curtains in Leicestershire be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
