What to specify
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Newtown must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Most installations in Newtown can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Frequently asked questions
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Newtown?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
How often should strip curtains in Newtown be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Powys?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Powys to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
