Options for PVC strip curtains in Wolverhampton
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Traffic route rules that apply in Wolverhampton
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Wolverhampton can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
Which strip curtain grade suits our Wolverhampton premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Wolverhampton site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around the West Midlands?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across the West Midlands to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
