Industrial door work in Hoddesdon
Besides Hoddesdon, we can survey and quote for sites in Hertford, Cheshunt, Waltham Abbey and the rest of Hertfordshire.
Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.
Loading bay safety in England
Dock levellers, shelters and restraints are work equipment, so in Hoddesdon the business running the site must keep them in efficient working order under PUWER 1998, and keep traffic routes safe under the Workplace Regulations 1992. Dock levellers are built to BS EN 1398; powered loading bay doors are covered by the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and BS EN 12453.
Fire shutter law in England
A fire shutter only does its job if it closes when needed. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must keep fire safety equipment maintained in efficient working order, and keeping test records is the usual way to show it. Shutters must also stay as the manufacturer tested and certified them, so repairs should use the right parts. In Hoddesdon, the enforcing authority is the local fire and rescue authority.
