Steel curtains. Heavier lath gauges for wide or exposed doors; lighter profiles where space and budget are tight.
Manual or electric. Hand-operated for occasional use, electric for anything opened through the working day.
Compact coil. The curtain winds onto a barrel above the opening, leaving floor and roof space free.

Replacing a vehicle-damaged shutter in a trade yard with a heavier-gauge curtain and guide-rail protection.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Hoddesdon are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Most installations in Hoddesdon can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
