What we fit in Weston-super-Mare
- Hygienic finishes. Smooth, cleanable finishes chosen to meet your hygiene and audit standards.
- Tight seals. The leaf pulls in against its gaskets on closing so cold air stays where it belongs.
- Pressure relief. We check pressure relief so a tightly sealed room does not suck the door shut.
- Electric sliding. Motorised sliding doors with pull cords, radar or loops and safety edges.
- Inside release. Every door can be opened from inside without a key, even if locked from outside.
Jobs we can carry out
- Replacing an iced-up sliding freezer door with a new insulated door, heated frame and heated threshold.
- Installing a high-speed freezer door in front of an existing sliding cold store door on a busy picking route.
- Fitting freezer-grade PVC strip curtains behind cold store doors that stand open during loading.
Powered door rules that apply in Weston-super-Mare
Weston-super-Mare is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Frequently asked questions
Can you replace a freezer door at our Weston-super-Mare site without losing stock?
We plan the change with you and your refrigeration engineer. Many doors can be swapped in a day, sometimes with stock moved or the plant set back temporarily, so the room returns to temperature quickly.
What safety release do cold store doors in Weston-super-Mare need?
Every cold store door should open from inside without a key or tool, even when locked from outside. We fit a clearly marked inside release and can add an alarm button connected to a monitored panel.
Why is our cold room door in Weston-super-Mare hard to open after it closes?
Usually negative pressure: air inside cools and contracts once the door seals. A correctly sized pressure relief valve, heated on freezers, solves this. We check for one on survey and can fit it with a new door.
