What we fit in Swindon
- Electric sliding. Motorised sliding doors with pull cords, radar or loops and safety edges.
- Impact protection. Kick plates, buffers and bollards to keep trucks off leaves and frames.
- Inside release. Every door can be opened from inside without a key, even if locked from outside.
- Thick insulation. Foam-filled leaves sized to the room temperature, from chillers to freezers.
- Tight seals. Compressible gaskets pressed against the frame as the door closes.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Renewing worn gaskets and the frame heater on a chiller door that no longer seals properly.
- Replacing an iced-up sliding freezer door with a new insulated door, heated frame and heated threshold.
- Installing a high-speed freezer door in front of an existing sliding cold store door on a busy picking route.
Powered door rules that apply in Swindon
Swindon is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.
How the work is organised
Most installations in Swindon can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Questions from businesses in Swindon
What safety release do cold store doors in Swindon need?
Every cold store door should open from inside without a key or tool, even when locked from outside. We fit a clearly marked inside release and can add an alarm button connected to a monitored panel.
Can you replace a freezer door at our Swindon site without losing stock?
We plan the change with you and your refrigeration engineer. Many doors can be swapped in a day, sometimes with stock moved or the plant set back temporarily, so the room returns to temperature quickly.
Do you supply cold store doors for food businesses in Wiltshire?
Yes. We supply and fit cold store doors with hygienic finishes for food producers, processors, distributors and commercial kitchens across Wiltshire, and we talk through your hygiene, cleaning and audit requirements at the survey before recommending a finish.
