What we fit in Swansea

All door types. Roller shutters, insulated roller, sectional, high-speed, fire, sliding, hangar and cold store doors.
Aftercare. Once fitted, we can service the door on a schedule and repair it, along with doors from other installers.
Drives and controls. Motors sized to the door and controls matched to your traffic, from a key switch to induction loops.
Conformity paperwork. Handover includes the product and machinery conformity documents plus commissioning records.
Fixed price. A written fixed price confirmed after the survey, before any work begins.

What this work can involve

Replacing corroded roller shutters on a vehicle workshop with insulated roller doors and new key-switch controls.
Installing a fire shutter in a compartment wall where a conveyor line passes between production and dispatch areas.
Supplying a bottom-rolling sliding door for a wide opening where there is no headroom for a coiled or tracked door.

Safety law for industrial doors in Wales

Industrial doors in Swansea are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

Industrial door installation in Swansea: your questions

How soon could a new door be installed at our Swansea premises?

It depends mainly on the manufacturer's lead time for a made-to-measure door, which we confirm in the quote. Installation is then booked around your operations, and most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day.

How much does industrial door installation cost in Swansea?

Guide prices, ex VAT and supplied and fitted, start at £2,395 to £5,495 for an electric single-skin roller shutter up to about 4 × 4 m, or £3,495 to £8,495 for an insulated sectional door. Your fixed price in Swansea is confirmed in writing after a free survey.

Is the survey free for sites in Swansea?

Yes, for new installations and replacements. We measure the opening and the space around it, check fixings, power and obstructions, and talk through how the door is used before preparing a written quote. Repair and service visits are charged separately.
