Options for industrial roller shutters in Guildford

Mounting options. We mount the shutter wherever it fits most easily, including outside with a hood over the coil.
Compact coil. The curtain winds onto a barrel above the opening, leaving floor and roof space free.
Colour finishes. Leave it galvanised or choose a colour that matches the building.
Manual or electric. Hand-operated for occasional use, electric for anything opened through the working day.
Safety devices. Motorised shutters get the safety functions their risk assessment needs before handover.

Examples of work we can quote for

Renewing the bottom rail, floor seal and end locks on a roller shutter that jams in its guides.
Fitting a galvanised roller shutter to a new bin store or recycling compound, with a lockable bottom rail.
Installing perforated shutters across a covered loading area so the space stays ventilated and visible when locked.

Powered door rules that apply in Guildford

Guildford is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

For busy sites in Surrey the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.
