Jobs we can carry out

Converting a hand-chained insulated roller door to electric operation with a safety edge and photocells.
Supplying insulated roller doors in one matching RAL colour across a terrace of refurbished small business units.
Fitting an insulated roller door to a trade counter unit where sprinkler mains leave no room for sectional door tracks.

Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Rushden?

In England, two sets of duties meet at a powered door. The installer who supplies or motorises it must hand over a door that meets the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, tested against BS EN 12453 and documented. The business in control of the premises must then maintain it: regulation 5 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 covers maintenance, and regulation 18 requires upward-opening doors to have a device that stops them falling back and powered doors to have features that prevent trapping.

Keeping your site running during the work

Most installations in Rushden can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Insulated roller shutter doors in Rushden: your questions

Is there enough headroom for an insulated roller door at our Rushden unit?

The coil on an insulated curtain is larger than on a single-skin shutter, so we measure the space above the lintel on survey. Where headroom is very tight, the coil can sometimes be fitted outside the opening or a lower-profile option chosen.

How much does an insulated roller shutter door cost in Rushden?

Our guide price for an electric insulated roller door up to about 4 × 4 m is £3,195 to £7,495 ex VAT, supplied and fitted. We survey your Rushden opening free of charge and then put a fixed price in writing.

How long does insulated roller door installation take in Rushden?

Most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day once the made-to-measure door has arrived. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote so you can plan around it.
