Options for PVC strip curtains in Flint
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
What this work can involve
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Traffic route rules that apply in Flint
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in Wales the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Flint can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Questions from businesses in Flint
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Flint?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Flint site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Clwyd?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Clwyd to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
