What to specify
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
Typical scopes of work
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Gwynedd must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Questions from businesses in Gwynedd
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Wales?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Wales to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Gwynedd?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Gwynedd in writing after a free survey.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Gwynedd premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
