Options that matter on site
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
Typical scopes of work
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Holyhead must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

PVC strip curtains in Holyhead: your questions
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Holyhead?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
How often should strip curtains in Holyhead be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Holyhead premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
