Options that matter on site
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Bangor (Gwynedd) must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
How the work is organised
For busy sites in Gwynedd the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our Bangor (Gwynedd) premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How often should strip curtains in Bangor (Gwynedd) be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Bangor (Gwynedd)?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Bangor (Gwynedd) in writing after a free survey.
