Options for PVC strip curtains in Bideford
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Bideford must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
For busy sites in Devon the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

PVC strip curtains in Bideford: your questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our Bideford premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Devon?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Devon to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Bideford?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Bideford in writing after a free survey.
