PVC strip curtains in Lockerbie

Quick answer

Options for PVC strip curtains in Lockerbie

Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.

Examples of work we can quote for

Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.

Traffic route rules that apply in Lockerbie

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in Scotland the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Questions from businesses in Lockerbie

How often should strip curtains in Lockerbie be replaced?

It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Lockerbie premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.

Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Lockerbie?

Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
