Options for PVC strip curtains in Grangemouth
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland
The business running the site in Grangemouth must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.

Frequently asked questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our Grangemouth premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Grangemouth site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Forth Valley?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Forth Valley to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
