Options for PVC strip curtains in Livingston
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland
The business running the site in Livingston must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Most installations in Livingston can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Questions from businesses in Livingston
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Edinburgh and the Lothians?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Edinburgh and the Lothians to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Livingston?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Livingston premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
