In short
Losing heat or chilled air through a door left open all day at your Finchley site? A PVC strip curtain lets people and vehicles pass freely while cutting draughts, dust, noise and insects.

What to specify
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
Jobs we can carry out
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Traffic route rules that apply in Finchley
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
How the work is organised
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
How often should strip curtains in Finchley be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Finchley?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Finchley in writing after a free survey.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Finchley?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
