What we fit in Hanworth
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Hanworth must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
How the work is organised
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

PVC strip curtains in Hanworth: your questions
How often should strip curtains in Hanworth be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Hanworth site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Greater London?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Greater London to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
