What to specify
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Jobs we can carry out
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Traffic route rules that apply in Isleworth
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Access, phasing and timing
Sites in and around Isleworth vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

PVC strip curtains in Isleworth: your questions
How often should strip curtains in Isleworth be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Isleworth site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Greater London?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Greater London to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
