PVC strip curtains in South Croydon

The short version

Strip curtains are the simplest way to part-close a busy opening in South Croydon (CR2). Hook-on strips make wear easy to deal with, ribbed strips cope with forklifts, and polar grades keep working in freezers.

Options for PVC strip curtains in South Croydon

Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.

Jobs we can carry out

Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.

Traffic route rules that apply in South Croydon

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Planning the work around your site

For busy sites in Greater London the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Questions from businesses in South Croydon

How much is a PVC strip curtain in South Croydon?

Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in South Croydon in writing after a free survey.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our South Croydon site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

Which strip curtain grade suits our South Croydon premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
