Options for PVC strip curtains in Hemel Hempstead

Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.

Jobs we can carry out

Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.

Traffic route rules that apply in Hemel Hempstead

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Planning the work around your site

Most installations in Hemel Hempstead can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a PVC strip curtain in Hemel Hempstead?

Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Hemel Hempstead in writing after a free survey.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Hemel Hempstead site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

How often should strip curtains in Hemel Hempstead be replaced?

It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
