What we fit in Letchworth Garden City

Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.

What this work can involve

Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.

Keeping strip curtains safe in England

The business running the site in Letchworth Garden City must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

Planning the work around your site

Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains

Which strip curtain grade suits our Letchworth Garden City premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Letchworth Garden City site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Hertfordshire?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Hertfordshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
