Options for PVC strip curtains in Hitchin
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
Typical scopes of work
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Hitchin must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
Most installations in Hitchin can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Frequently asked questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our Hitchin premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Hitchin site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Hitchin?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
