What to specify
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
Jobs we can carry out
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Rawtenstall must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

PVC strip curtains in Rawtenstall: your questions
How often should strip curtains in Rawtenstall be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Lancashire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Lancashire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Rawtenstall premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
