Options that matter on site
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Heswall must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
For busy sites in Merseyside the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Heswall site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Heswall premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How often should strip curtains in Heswall be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
