What to specify
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
What this work can involve
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Didcot must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
How the work is organised
Sites in and around Didcot vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Didcot?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Didcot premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Didcot?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
