What we fit in Thatcham
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Traffic route rules that apply in Thatcham
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Access, phasing and timing
Sites in and around Thatcham vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Questions from businesses in Thatcham
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Thatcham site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Thatcham?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Thatcham?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
