Options for PVC strip curtains in Smethwick

Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.

Typical scopes of work

Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.

Traffic route rules that apply in Smethwick

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Keeping your site running during the work

Most installations in Smethwick can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around the West Midlands?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across the West Midlands to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.

How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Smethwick?

Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Smethwick site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
