PVC strip curtains in West Bromwich

Quick answer

Losing heat or chilled air through a door left open all day at your West Bromwich site? A PVC strip curtain lets people and vehicles pass freely while cutting draughts, dust, noise and insects.

Town: West Bromwich
Postcode district: B70
Area: West Midlands
Survey: Free for new installations

What to specify

Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.

What this work can involve

Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.

Traffic route rules that apply in West Bromwich

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Keeping your site running during the work

If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.

Questions from businesses in West Bromwich

How much is a PVC strip curtain in West Bromwich?

Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in West Bromwich in writing after a free survey.

Which strip curtain grade suits our West Bromwich premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our West Bromwich site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
