Options for PVC strip curtains in Pudsey
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Traffic route rules that apply in Pudsey
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Keeping your site running during the work
For busy sites in West Yorkshire the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Pudsey site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Pudsey?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Pudsey in writing after a free survey.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Pudsey premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
