Options for PVC strip curtains in North Yorkshire
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Typical scopes of work
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Traffic route rules that apply in North Yorkshire
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Planning the work around your site
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

PVC strip curtains in North Yorkshire: your questions
How much is a PVC strip curtain in North Yorkshire?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in North Yorkshire in writing after a free survey.
How often should strip curtains in North Yorkshire be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our North Yorkshire site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
