Options for door automation and controls in Blairgowrie

Interlocks. Doors linked to each other, to levellers or to the alarm so they work in the right sequence.
Traffic lights. Red and green lights and warning beacons for drivers.
Inverter drives. Frequency inverters move busy doors faster while cutting wear on every cycle.
Safety devices. Safety edges, photocells and light curtains, force-tested to BS EN 12453.
Activation options. Choose how the door is opened, from staff buttons to automatic vehicle detection.

What this work can involve

Installing an airlock interlock between two high-speed doors so only one can be open at a time.
Replacing an obsolete control panel with a modern unit, then re-testing the safety devices and closing forces.
Adding traffic lights and warning beacons to a yard door shared by lorries and pedestrians.

Safety law for industrial doors in Scotland

Industrial doors in Blairgowrie are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Access, phasing and timing

Sites in and around Blairgowrie vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Door automation and controls in Blairgowrie: your questions

How long does a door automation job take in Blairgowrie?

A straightforward conversion is usually completed and commissioned in a day. Loops, interlocks and traffic lights add time, and we plan the work so the door is out of use for as little time as possible.

Which activation would suit our Blairgowrie site?

It depends on who uses the door. Buttons suit staff, remotes suit drivers, pull cords and loops suit forklifts, and radar suits mixed traffic. We look at your traffic on survey and recommend a set-up.

Can you add interlocks or traffic lights to doors around Perth and Kinross?

Yes. We fit airlock interlocks, door-to-leveller interlocks, traffic lights and warning beacons to new and existing doors across Perth and Kinross, subject to compatibility with the control panels already fitted, and replace panels where they cannot accept the extra inputs.
