Options for sectional overhead doors in Wrexham

Vision panels. Add a row of vision panels or full-vision aluminium sections for daylight and a clear view of vehicles outside.
Electric drives. Shaft-mounted motors with push-button, remote, loop or radar control, and inverter drives for high-cycle bays.
Insulated panels. 40 mm PU-insulated steel panels as standard, with thicker thermal panels where heat loss matters.
Track layouts. We pick the track after measuring headroom and obstructions, so the door clears lights, sprinklers and crane rails.
Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.

Jobs we can carry out

Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.
Replacing a draughty single-skin roller shutter with an insulated sectional door and a low-threshold wicket door.
Renewing torsion springs and lift cables on a busy loading bay door, with higher-cycle springs where the usage justifies them.

Powered door rules that apply in Wrexham

Wrexham is in Wales, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.

Questions from businesses in Wrexham

Do you survey sites in Wrexham before quoting?

Yes. Surveys for new and replacement doors are free. We measure the opening, headroom and obstructions, check the fixings and power supply, and discuss how the door will be used before we price it.

Which safety devices does a powered sectional door in Wrexham need?

That comes from the risk assessment for your site, but typically a safety edge or light curtain, spring-break and cable-break protection and limited closing forces tested to BS EN 12453. Busy pedestrian routes may call for more.

How soon can a sectional door be fitted in Wrexham?

Sectional doors are made to measure, so the manufacturer's lead time sets the date. We confirm it with the quote, book installation around your operations and fit most single doors in a day once the opening is ready.
