What to specify
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Jobs we can carry out
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Barrow-in-Furness must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
Most installations in Barrow-in-Furness can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Barrow-in-Furness?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Barrow-in-Furness in writing after a free survey.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Barrow-in-Furness site?
