What we fit in Newton Aycliffe

Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.

What this work can involve

Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.

Keeping strip curtains safe in England

The business running the site in Newton Aycliffe must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

Access, phasing and timing

Most installations in Newton Aycliffe can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

PVC strip curtains in Newton Aycliffe: your questions

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around County Durham?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across County Durham to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.

Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Newton Aycliffe?

Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Newton Aycliffe premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
